We reached File Island a few days ago. Over 150 people and their digimon partners made it into this round which is great I think. After a few days of getting to know each other we got called for our next tasks!

Our coaches for round PR-02 step on the small podium in the center of the small village we could move into. They start to introduce themselves as Jijimon for us classic and the duo Koromon and Botamon for the tamers and digimon which uses xros evolution. Together they announce what this new round is all about.
They built up a training ground called the Green Gym. In it we get the chance to make specialized trainings for each, physical and magical endurance, attack, defense, speed and mind. The training sure depends on each individual digimon and tamer and the style of digivolution they use but the final goal of this round is the same for all of us, acquiring the champion level!

As you may know, Terriermon and I mastered the champion level already long time ago and ultimate is also no problem. Together we even can do a matrix evolution into mega level pretty easily. Just Terriermon solo into mega level also works but surly will need some more training to hold it up longer for the upcoming fights. I will once tell you the story about how we got these levels and why we had to get them...
So this round seems to be already more or less done for us right at the start what the result concern. However we may won't get such a nice training ground any time soon again and Terriermon and I agree both that we will also train hard in the various places of the Green Gym.

"Hit and block, hit and block, hit and block". Terriermon and I are in the middle of the training on the Tree Striking installation. One hit on the arms of that thing turns It around and will send another arm or leg from the other side your way. It's great for strengthen the attack power but also good for dodging I think because you can also do that of course.
"Okay enough on that", I say to Terriermon exhausted. "Phew, you put up quite a pace Ryo. Let me remember you again, that gym is made for us digimon to train, not for humans. You don't need to do that and even more not with the same strength and speed we digimon do."
Terriermon and I grab our towels and water tumblers to take a sip of the refreshing liquid inside. It's true, I am training alongside Terriermon in that gym doing the same things my Digimon does. It has multiple reasons I do that. "Firstly I cannot just let you train all day long and do nothing. I need to stay fit too for the next rounds, who knows what will come. Also I can feel best on my own body how exhaust you probably are if I do the same training. Secondly If we want to get stronger as team in the mega level, both of us must be stronger. Sure we are not allowed to digivolve together but who knows if we once will need it again in the future. And last but not least I get in quite a good look if I continue to train like this." I wink at Terriermon and see a slight blush on its face which makes me chuckle.

Next we head to our favorite training ground, the Waterfall Mediation. As the name already says, you sit down underneath or at the waterfall and meditate. Maybe we both like it that much because of the cold water - we both love the coldness - or it could be because once we meditate we feel similar like during our mega level. Not as close as when we fuse together physically but mentally it feels almost the same. Sure it sounds a little ridiculous but every time we sit there it feels like we can go deeper into our minds and also into the mind of the partner. And because it's not while fighting like in mega level, we can enjoy the feeling and take our time exploring. At least before we start the fight with our minds...
Also this time we sit there and let our minds connect. After a while of enjoying this strange pleasure we start to fight in our minds against imagined enemies. It feels exactly like a normal fight. A hit here, a block there. What we just trained on the Tree Striking has now to be used directly against the enemy. We imagine enemy after enemy. One stronger than the other. The fight starts to make us breathe pretty hard and we don't only feel the water but also sweat running down our bodies. A stronger Digimon enemy appears and only together we manage to bring it down before an even stronger one shows up. We let our minds melt together even more to combine our strength and melt it together for a final blast.

"Gargo IceBeam!"
A ray of light hits the enemy and freezes it instantly. In our minds we turn to each other smiling happily that we made it again. We open our eyes and find ourselves surrounded by a frozen waterfall. I got pushed a little aside because my digimon now takes up a little more space as Gargomon than it did as Terriermon when we started. Our mind-battles are always so intense that Terriermon digivoles! The evolution then sets free so much ice-energy that the waterfall freezes up. Every time a little bit more. Last time it took about five minutes for the ice to melt. This time we sure made a new record and the waterfall will stay frozen for at least ten minutes. Guess we overdid it again ^^;

Jijimon steps to us and asks how the training went. It always does that with every tamer and digimon when they evolve. With us it had more than one chat already and every time we gladly describe detailed what we saw and felt during the training and the evolution. Jijimon then gives us tips where we can improve even more - which leads to an even more frozen waterfall the next time. Also it finds a few points where we can improve our fighting technique and it wants us to try it again tomorrow which we sure will! At this place I would like to apologize to all the other digimon and tamers which we froze up already or constrained during their training ^^;

We continue our training on the remaining facilities and have to take care not to damage them too much. The power burst of the evolution always sets free quite some strength and it's not easy to hold that back. As a little excuse, in a normal fight you also don't hold it back ;D

"Um.. Ryo, you know..." Terriermon stutters a little and stars to slow down his run with me on the speed track. We stop and I pick Terriermon up from the ground and put on my shoulder. "What is it Terriermon?" I ask back. "It's just that.. all the feelings we share during the trainings underneath the waterfall always overwhelm me." "Oh sorry.. Should I hold back a little?" "No! .. Please don't…" Terriermon smiles and blushes again. "In fact, I like it. I know that we share quite a strong partnership and I always hoped it to get even stronger. I want to stay with you forever Ryo."
I sit down into the grass next to the track and pick up Terriermon off my shoulders. "Me too Terriermon. Me too" I say softly before pressing it into a warm and tight hug. We ley there on the ground a little longer and just enjoy being together.

The sun starts to touch the horizon and a loud rumble wakes us up from our daydreaming. We realize that the noise actually comes from our stomachs! We get up, Terriermon can take his place on my shoulder again, and I start walking back to the village to make that rumbling stop with some nice food. The whole way there I cannot get my eyes off Terriermon which looks a lot stronger and seems more self-confident. I can tell you, I am so happy to have it as my partner ~<3

Sidestories

We finish a whole big plate of food which would be enough for a Greymon. Nothing with getting in a good shape if we continue to eat like that...

In the night we somehow are able to share our dream together. The morning after we wake up covered with a layer of powder snow~ "How did that happen?!"

Some days later we accidentally freeze up Jijimon which stood too close to us during the training. It wanted to feel our power but miscalculated it a little. Gomenasai Jijimon!
The next chapter of the adventures of Ryo and Terriermon at the DWC!

:icondw-championship:

A new task which this time didn't took too much effort for them to reach. But if you get such a good chance, why not try to surpass it?!
